“Turkey Hill Dairy understands that farmland preservation is critical to the future of Lancaster County and has made a conscious decision to help protect the local agricultural community. In addition to its financial contributions over the years, Turkey Hill often provides drinks and ice cream for Trust’s events such as Pedal to Preserve, the annual picnic, and the annual dinner. Each year, approximately 1,100 acres of farmland are lost to development in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. That farmland produces much of this nation’s food, including milk for more than 10 million people.  And if that farmland is paved over, it’s lost forever.
